How to enter Canada’s Luckiest Newcomer 2026

What signing up asks for

Signing up asks for your email and a password, then your name, birth date, gender, postal code and phone number, and a few questions about your move and your family, like your country of origin and when you arrived in Canada.

Entering means agreeing to emails from Canadian Newcomers Network. You can unsubscribe any time without affecting your entry or your odds. Some prizes may ask you to let Canadian Newcomers Network share your details with that prize’s sponsor for email marketing; you can unsubscribe from those too. Privacy policy

Extra entries

You get one entry for the grand prize and ten for each other prize you enter. Each prize is entered separately on the contest site.

You can earn up to 2,300 extra entries by entering codes, completing challenges, referring friends and other actions posted on the contest site.

You can also get every extra entry by mail: send the same details as a mail-in entry, with “Extra Entries” in the attention line, received by November 6, 2026.

Doubling your entries

You can double your entries once: with an eligible new CIBC account or card, or by mailing a short essay.

  • With a CIBC banking product: say so on the contest site. That includes joint accounts, authorized users and beneficiaries; RESPs, TFSAs and RRSPs don’t count.
  • A deposit account must be opened and funded with at least $1 during the contest and stay in good standing; a credit card must be applied for and approved during the contest and used for at least one purchase or payment.
  • CIBC confirms your product before any prize is awarded. If it can’t be confirmed, you’re disqualified.
  • Without one: mail a 50-word-or-longer essay on how $20,000 from CIBC could help you settle in Canada, received by November 6, 2026.

Entering by mail

Write your full name, email address, age, phone number, full mailing address with postal code, and your signature on a plain white sheet no larger than 8.5 by 11 inches. Mail it to Contest Administrator, Canadian Newcomers Network, 300-174 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON M5T 2C2, with “Canada’s Luckiest Newcomer 2026” and the prize name in the attention line. It must be postmarked while the contest is open and arrive by November 6, 2026. Use a separate envelope for each prize; each one is worth ten entries.

Dates

The contest closes October 31, 2026 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET. The draw date is set out in the official rules. Your Canadian Newcomers Network account must be created before the contest ends.
